ANTI CHILD TRAFFICKING

MUKTI South Asia Project on Anti-Child Trafficking (2023 to present):

Partnering with ECPAT Luxembourg, MUKTI South Asia works to combat child sex trafficking in India, Nepal, and Bangladesh. This project recognizes the critical need for enhanced anti-trafficking responses to ensure the protection and well-being of child victims. The project envisions that governments and civil society are able to reduce the cross-border trafficking of children for sexual purposes and avoid re-trafficking of survivors. Child trafficking is one of the grave issues in India, and Delhi NCR is one of the worst-affected areas. According to the National Human Rights Commission, over 10,000 children are trafficked annually in India, out of which a considerable number enter the Delhi NCR area. SPID is one of the collaborating organizations for implementing MSA in Delhi NCR.

Sustained Freedom Project supported by NYAY Network (2024 to present):

The Sustained Freedom Project addresses deep-rooted social injustices like child trafficking, bonded labor, and poverty in North East and Central Delhi. By strengthening legal frameworks, boosting rescue efforts, and involving key stakeholders like government and law enforcement, it seeks justice for victims. The project also supports survivors through counseling, medical care, education, and skill-building, helping them reintegrate into society. Through collaboration with communities, officials, and judicial authorities, we aim to build a movement for justice and sustainable change, ensuring vulnerable populations are protected and can lead safer, healthier lives
