ACCESS TO EDUCATION

Child Rights and Quality Education in Nuh (Mewat) Haryana (2023 to present):

In collaboration with Child Rights & You (CRY), SPID working on fostering positive change in 8 targeted village communities by raising awareness of health, economic conditions, child rights, and quality education. SPID has implemented educational programs in four Children’s Activity Centre (CAC) villages and twelve satellite villages, helping over 500 children who previously dropped out or never attended school. Our initiatives empower these children to build brighter futures. We also conduct awareness programs for mothers and community organizations, promoting behavior change and skill development while addressing the specific needs of marginalized and underserved populations through ongoing village surveys.

 

Promoting community resilience, education, and livelihood support for Children and Youth in Nuh (Mewat) Haryana (2023 to present): 

In collaboration with Help for Children in Need Foundation (HCNF), SPID is dedicated to enhancing community resilience, supporting children’s education, and exploring job opportunities in urban centers like Gurgaon and Delhi. The project provides educational support to 200 children and equips 200 youth with vital computer skills. It also encourages active community participation in local decision-making processes. So far, the initiative has positively impacted 400 youth and 300 children across 12 villages, offering after-school support through GRAM BAL SHALA and providing scholarships specifically for girls pursuing higher education, ensuring they have opportunities for a brighter future.

 

SPID-M3M IMpower - Rewla Khanpur, Delhi (2024 to present):

With the support of the M3M Foundation, aims to empower vulnerable and marginalized children aged 3-14 and women in Rewla Khanpur Village, Delhi, to prevent the cycle of prostitution from continuing to the next generation. This initiative fosters holistic child development, enhances women’s empowerment, and facilitates access to essential government schemes. Core activities include establishing Early Childhood Development Centers to provide foundational education, forming adolescent groups to promote peer support and leadership, and organizing health camps to meet the community's health needs. Focusing on marginalized populations, particularly the children of women involved in prostitution, the IMpower project seeks to build resilience and pave the way for brighter futures?.
